investigate whether the endowment effect is present for peer-to-peer rentals. This is an area of inquiry not yet explored. We compare the market for peer-to-peer sales against peer-to-peer rentals to verify that the endowment effect is replicated for sales. Thus, any differences observed are due solely to access-based consumption.
